Very pretty huge blackened mahogany wood display cabinet made by the firm of Holland & Sons (1803-1942).
Holland & Sons was one of the largest and most successful cabinet makers of their time. Cabinets like this can also be found in the Victoria and Albert Museum. The back of the case is retro-fitted with a flat piece of very special red Portuguese marble.
Both the left and the right glass sides open completely for easy acces to the display part. The inside measurements of the display/glass part is D x W x H: 62 x 161 x 112cm (24 x 63.4 x 44 inches).
