What a great way to display these highly decorative old wooden sock forms. These wooden forms were used to stretch wool socks back to size after washing when drying. All different sizes and shapes, hanging from an aluminium strip with hooks.
I'm not sure what the 'nudges' where used for, probably to keep the socks up.
The longest 'sock' is 88cm, the shortest children's version is 62cm.
The length of the aluminium hook strip is 168cm.
