19th Century Terracotta Bust by Paul Lecreux
Date: early 19th Century
Dimensions: H 62cm W 63cm D 27cm
Very pretty larger then life bust of a woman with a puffy sleeves and lace dress.
The details on this bust are amazing, very detailed lace and hair
The bust is signed P. Lecreux, edite a asnieres (made in Asnieres).
Paul Lecreux was a French sculpture who lived from 1826-1894
It is probably been outside for some while it has minor 'weather related stains'. Some little pieces of lace broke.
She has a small dent in one of her breasts, but actually she stood the test of time quite well given she is made of fragile terracotta. And I think all this contributes to the look of this very beautiful bust
