1950s set of three blue opaline glass items. Made in Italy
The bright blue milk, opaline or cased glass is heavy and thick, all items have a decorative ormolu brass mount or rim
The set consists of an ashtray a small jar, probably for holding cigarettes and a very pretty lidded candy jar. Two items still have their "Veritable Opaline de Murano" label.
measurements:
the lidded candy jar is 12cm (4.7") in diameter and 18cm (7.1") high
the small jar is 6,5cm (2.6") in diameter and 7cm 2.8") high
the ashtray is 9cm (3.5") in diameter and 3cm (1.18") high
This set would be a great gift to a Venetian glass collector.
