Very decorative larger than life French 1950s fake wood foam penny loafer with reptile design shoe-shaped box.
This funny item is in fact made from a high-density polyurethane foam and painted to look like a real carved wooden shoe.

The look-a-like design is very convincing until you pick it up.
It looks heavy but in fact it is very light weight, too light to be real wood.

The inside and bottom sole are glued with paper painted with a wood colour and design, on the inside it reads 21 79 marked in pencil.
