Set of seven very decorative antique early 1920s Dutch marine signal day shapes and metal buoys.

Two signal day shapes and five metal buoys.
Six of them are diamond or biconical shaped, one, the metal red one, shaped like a ball.

A day shape is a mast head signal visually indicating the status of a vessel to other vessels on navigable waters during daylight hours whether making-way, anchored, or aground.

The meanings of a shape is defined by the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.

The large black canvas diamond shaped one, on its own can mean: vessel towing or vessel being towed.
The red metal day signal anchor ball signal shape is for use by all vessels when at anchor, when not under command or when aground.

The rest of this set consists of 5 heavy metal buoys is yellow, orange, brown painted, brown patina and green.
